Matthew (Mathias) Pitts is a poet, photographer, documentarian, and filmmaker from Columbus. Starting with poetry primarily in 2009 Mathias has worked to expand each of his dreams incrementally. Since then he has performed at the Lincoln theater, The Ohio Theater, the Victoria Theater in Dayton, and multiple venues throughout the Midwest primarily. In 2020 He was dedicated to becoming properly multidisciplinary. He purchased his first DSLR camera and started taking photos. Not long after this he started shooting short films. Now, with works featured in Vogue, Today, Poets.org, Muzzle Magazine, and several gallery exhibitions from Urban Arts Space, 83 Gallery, to Arizona State University and beyond he believes that there is a story to be told in everyday life from the extreme to the mundane. He encourages everyone to seeking out their dreams as urgently as they are seeking you.
